About MAEP
The Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program (MAEP) is a curatorial department of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA) dedicated to exhibiting and supporting artists living and working in the state of Minnesota. Begun in 1975 as a creative partnership with the MIA, the MAEP was founded by a group of regional artists interested in creating an innovative exhibition and programming space. What began as a year-long agreement has been extended into an ongoing relationship between the Minnesota artist community and the MIA. Submit a Proposal
Exhibition review is ongoing. Artists may submit proposals at any time. Click more to learn about the submission process. MAEP Artist Panel
MAEP panelists have a very important position in the Minnesota arts community by playing a direct role in the selection of MAEP exhibitions at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Composed of seven members elected to two-year terms, the panel is entrusted with the responsibility of surveying the creative diversity of Minnesota artists and selecting those whose work shows exceptional promise and quality. more »MAEP Social Media

Wikis, by nature, are ever growing and changing entities, and new information will be added on a regular basis. Visitors are encouraged to add comments and insights regarding shows past and present. This format embodies the same democratic spirit as the MAEP program, giving everyone the opportunity to contribute to this rich historical record. Subscribe to MAEP E-Newsletter »
